Inspired by this prayerbook in the Skirball collection printed in Amsterdam in 1766, the artist has placed the hammered silver volume at the top of a stack of books, perhaps referencing the value of learning in the Jewish tradition. This image was selected by the CCAR (Central Conference of American Rabbis) Press for the cover of its 2018/5778 Catalogue.
