Merle Rosen was a practicing artist in Cincinnati for more than 40 years. Her work has been shown extensively in museums and galleries and has been widely collected by private and corporate entities. In addition to her work as a studio artist, Rosen taught throughout her career, in programs at the Cincinnati Art Museum, Arts Consortium, Thomas More College, Art Academy of Cincinnati, and the University of Cincinnati. Largely self-taught, Rosen created vivid abstract works using a variety of media including pastel, pencil, acrylic paint, textiles, and sculpture.
