This two panel window depicts the manifestation that G-d was with the Israelites as an escort on their travels through the wilderness on the way to the Promised Land. The Lord was going before them in a pillar of cloud by day to lead them on the way, and in a pillar of fire by night to give them light, that they might travel by day and night. This pair of windows, installed over a new entrance to the synagogue, greeted congregants as they entered and left the building.
